Additional Announcements....
1. As part of our First Grade Compassion Project, we will be collecting items for the Woodridge Nursing & Rehabilitation home in Grapevine during the week of Feb. 8-12. We (the first grade teachers) will deliver the items after school on February 12th. Suggested items of need include:  new afghans, stuffed animals, new or gently used books, lotion, lip balm, word finds, and boxes of tissue. Again – we are not collecting until February 8th, but wanted to give you plenty of time to plan accordingly. Thank you in advance for helping us teach our first graders that it really is better to give than to receive! It will make our kids feel great to donate to those in need as well as make our recipients feel loved and remembered!

2. Make sure you have signed up for Parent Conferences!
    Mrs. Thomas/Mrs. Graviett - Monday, February 1st
    Mrs. Johnson/Mrs. Evans - Tuesday, February 2nd

Please email your child's teacher for any questions regarding sign ups!

3. Your child should be able to read and spell these following words:
an, are, because, from, of, one, play, said, that, there, they, was, went, were, when, with, your.

4. Please remember to send your child to school with appropriate outerwear during cold temperatures. We WILL go outside if the temperature is 40 degrees or above.
