No School Monday, Jan 5.  This is a teacher workday.  See you the 6th!

Here is the encore schedule.  Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on PE days.  Fridays will be a rotation that includes PE along with music or art.

This week in language arts, we will…
·       Write to teach others how to do something
·       Give clear, step by step instructions
·       Predict as we read
·       Discover new vocabulary through a weekly read aloud
·       Practice high frequency words for spelling
·       Practice using proper capitalization and punctuation on paragraphs that have none.
·       Work on IStation while in computer lab.  We encourage children to take advantage of the program at home as well!

This week in math, we will…
·       Add 10 to a number
·       Subtract 10 from a number
·       Play math games to reinforce addition
·       Solve problems of the day independently, then as a class
·       Participate in our math stations
·       Work on Reflex Math and First in Math while in computer lab

In Science, we’ll learn how animals depend on each other.
