Week of April 27
Don’t forget to send a HEALTHY NUT-FREE snack with your child daily!  Also, if your child’s lunch needs to be microwaved, make sure he/she is able to prepare it independently.  Thank you!
Can your child tie his/her shoes???  NOW is the time to teach him/her if not.  The second grade teachers will thank you!

Here is the encore schedule.  Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on PE days.  Fridays will be a rotation that includes PE along with music or art.

·      Celebrate our poetry
·      Reflect and interpret important information
·      Discover new vocabulary through a weekly read aloud
·      Categorize words to learn spelling patterns
·      Practice using proper capitalization and punctuation on paragraphs that have none.
·      Work on IStation while in computer lab.  We encourage children to take advantage of the program at home as well!

This week in math, we will…
·      continue our time unit
·      write about how and why we earn money
·      Solve problems of the day independently, then as a class
·      Participate in our math stations
·      Work on Reflex Math and First in Math while in computer lab

Week of April 20

Our field trip is this Tuesday!  We are going to the Ft. Worth Museum of Nature and Science.  Don’t forget to pack a sack lunch!  Also, NO lunch boxes- paper or plastic disposable bags…  Thank you!!!
OUES is a closed campus on Tuesday and Wednesday due to testing.
